October 1 a Regular Non- Working Holiday

President Gloria Macapagal Arroya (GMA) declares October 1 as a regular Non-working holiday in celebration of Eid'l Fitr or the end of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

The Islamic community celebrates Eid'l Fitr, three days after the end of the holy month of Ramadan, which started this year on September 1.

The declaration of the holiday that is observed every year is contained in Proclamation No. 1625, issued by the President last Friday but was released by MalacaƱang on Monday.
